Next session (2021-22), the Tayside Regional Improvement Collaborative (TRIC) will be establishing a Virtual Campus. The plan for this Virtual Campus is to initially deliver 3 subjects at Advanced Higher level which would be accessible to all Senior pupils across Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross.
The learning would be entirely remote with occasional live learning sessions and some group/one to one tutorials. The 3 subjects which will be used as a pilot next year will be:
- Advanced Higher Computing
- Advanced Higher French
- Advanced Higher Spanish
We would like to invite suitably qualified and interested teachers who would be keen to explore the opportunity for delivering these fully virtual courses to an information meeting on Wednesday 3 March 2021 at 4pm on MS Teams. This meeting will provide an opportunity to hear about the specifics of operation as well as allocation of time etc. Attendance at this meeting is for exploration and discussion only and it would not be committing you to anything.
If you would be keen to explore this opportunity, please send a short email of interest to:
Paul Cunningham, Quality Improvement Officer, Perth & Kinross Council – PSCunningham@pkc.gov.uk
Paul will then send you an invite to the meeting which will last no longer than 45 mins.
Prior to attending the meeting, you should discuss this opportunity with your Principal Teacher and Head Teacher. Currently, the plan would be to provide additional funding to each school who has a member of staff delivering one of these courses – this would equate to 0.2FTE.
If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, or have any further queries or question, please contact Paul in the first instance.
