SUMMARY:Scottish Learning Festival - Satellite Event - Dundee
DESCRIPTION:The Scottish Learning Festival aims to inspire people who work in education\, showcase interesting practice\, contribute to educational practice and thought and connect with other educators. This year is the first time we are running a hybrid event. This means we will have an online seminar programme running over the 21 and 22 September which people can register to join by clicking here and we will have physical events taking place around Scotland and you can sign up here on Eventbrite. Tickets are limited so we advise you sign up early to ensure you can attend. For more information about the festival\, please check out our website www.slf2022.com. \nAs well as being able to engage in the vital discussion on barrier to attainment\, attendees will also be able to grab a refreshment\, connect with colleagues and wander around our wonderful learner showcase. Through this showcase you’ll be able to explore the interesting work happening in learning settings around the Tayside region\, including input from our digital and pedagogy teams. \nThe event will begin at 4:00pm with refreshments and the showcase\, followed by the debate at 5:15pm. The whole event will be finished by approximately 7:00pm. \n\n\n\n\nTarget Audience – Please be aware that the target audience for this event is for professionals within the Education Sector. Please make sure you register with a valid and correct email address as this is where we will send follow-up information. It is also worth checking that our emails do not land in your junk or spam folder. \nTicket Allocation – The Satellite booking numbers are limited by the venue capacity\, which is different for each event. As such it is important that you bring your ticket with you when accessing the satellite venue. It is not possible to transfer your booking to anyone else. If you are unable to attend please cancel your booking to free up a space for another participant to attend. \nRequest for advance information – If you have specific accessibility or dietary requirements\, we would welcome more information about this in advance. Whilst it is your choice to disclose this information\, or not\, doing so will enable us to better understand your needs and plan how to best support your engagement. DESCRIPTION:Children’s Rights – Getting it Right in Tayside \n\nDate:  27th September 4:00- 5:30pm\nTarget audience: School\, CLD\, ELC and local authority leads who have some knowledge and understanding of UNCRC\nDetails: This is an interactive discursive session where participants are invited to plan the way forward to embedding UNCRC – participants will need to join with a device that has a working camera and microphone\nPlatform – Microsoft Teams\n\nThis session is open to all practitioners across Tayside who work with children and young people\, and have some knowledge and understanding of UNCRC their context. This session will take place on Tuesday 27th September at 4pm to 5:30pm. Please complete the following form to register for the session – https://forms.office.com/r/7w3KwWzw0E  . Registration for the event closes on Friday 23rd September at 5pm. Participants will be emailed the Teams meeting invite on Monday 26th September. \nIf you are interested in the session but cannot make this date please complete the form and in the relevant section please indicate that you would like to attend a future session.
