In order to build on the regional and local priorities for digital learning across Tayside\, we are delighted to announce that TRIC DigiFest 2.3 will take place on 11th November 2023 \n \nThis professional learning and networking event aims to highlight and share high quality\, inspiring practice from schools in all three local authorities. Comprising of a mix of workshops\, roundtable discussions and presentations\, we hope that practitioners and leaders from all sectors can join us for TRIC DigiFest 2.3. \n \nPartnering with University of Dundee\, this event will take place in their Dalhousie Building between 9.15 am-1pm. \n \nAll attendees are required to complete a short registration form. DESCRIPTION:Applying Skills and Knowledge Through Computing Science \nJoin us to discover how you can make effective use of digital technology to ensure our youngest\nof learners are developing creativity skills for life and learning\, through high quality learning\nexperiences.\nIn this four-part professional learning programme\, explore and create along with us to extend\nyour knowledge of how digital technology can be embedded naturally through play\, linking to\ncurrent guidance and policy (Realising the Ambition\, Curriculum for Excellence\, How Good Is Our Early Learning and Childcare). \nThe session aims to:\n• explore examples of effective digital learning in early level settings and the creative ways in\nwhich practitioners are harnessing digital technology to support planning children’s learning;\n• support early level Digital Literacy and Computing Science experiences and outcomes in\nmore detail whilst aiding practitioners to reflect on their own knowledge and skills or those\nof their setting;\n• bring together like-minded practitioners to share their learning journey through this course.\nParticipants will be asked to share very brief presentation or display demonstrating how they\nhave developed their effective use of digital technologies and pedagogy in their setting.

We are running a week of events in the city\, and our theme this year is Bring the Neighbours – we would like to extend an invitation to Fife\, Perth & Kinross\, Angus\, Stirling\, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to join us. \n  \nEducator Workshop – An Introduction to AWS Digital Skills Programmes \nOn Thursday 17th we are holding an Educator workshop at the Cyber Quarter for teachers and lecturers. This introductory workshop will provide attendees with an overview of AWS’ digital skills programmes for schools\, colleges and universities\, the support that’s available for teachers and lecturers and how to get started. \n  \nWe have a full programme planned; as well as AWS Get IT\, we’ll cover AWS Educate and AWS Academy\, and AWS Spark\, a new programme which is goes live on November 8th.
