In order to build on the regional and local priorities for digital learning across Tayside\, we are delighted to announce that TRIC DigiFest 2.3 will take place on 11th November 2023 \n \nThis professional learning and networking event aims to highlight and share high quality\, inspiring practice from schools in all three local authorities. Comprising of a mix of workshops\, roundtable discussions and presentations\, we hope that practitioners and leaders from all sectors can join us for TRIC DigiFest 2.3. \n \nPartnering with University of Dundee\, this event will take place in their Dalhousie Building between 9.15 am-1pm. \n \nAll attendees are required to complete a short registration form. SUMMARY:Scottish Learning Festival - Satellite Event - Dundee
DESCRIPTION:The Scottish Learning Festival aims to inspire people who work in education\, showcase interesting practice\, contribute to educational practice and thought and connect with other educators. This year is the first time we are running a hybrid event. This means we will have an online seminar programme running over the 21 and 22 September which people can register to join by clicking here and we will have physical events taking place around Scotland and you can sign up here on Eventbrite. Tickets are limited so we advise you sign up early to ensure you can attend. For more information about the festival\, please check out our website www.slf2022.com. \nAs well as being able to engage in the vital discussion on barrier to attainment\, attendees will also be able to grab a refreshment\, connect with colleagues and wander around our wonderful learner showcase. Through this showcase you’ll be able to explore the interesting work happening in learning settings around the Tayside region\, including input from our digital and pedagogy teams. \nThe event will begin at 4:00pm with refreshments and the showcase\, followed by the debate at 5:15pm. The whole event will be finished by approximately 7:00pm. \n\n\n\n\nTarget Audience – Please be aware that the target audience for this event is for professionals within the Education Sector. Please make sure you register with a valid and correct email address as this is where we will send follow-up information. It is also worth checking that our emails do not land in your junk or spam folder. \nTicket Allocation – The Satellite booking numbers are limited by the venue capacity\, which is different for each event. As such it is important that you bring your ticket with you when accessing the satellite venue. It is not possible to transfer your booking to anyone else. SUMMARY:UNCRC - Awareness Raising Session for Headteachers
DESCRIPTION:The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) will be incorporated into law in Scotland by the end of this year. This will give children’s rights the highest possible protection and will mean that public authorities have to ensure that all policies and procedures comply with children’s rights. \nTo help with this\, Maxine Jolly from Education Scotland will be leading an awareness raising session on the UNCRC and it’s implication for education and children’s services. This session is designed for Headteachers and will also offer advice/guidance on how we can incorporate the UNCRC into our everyday practice\, but also highlight the current work/policies that already takes place in our education establishments. \nThis session will take place via Microsoft Teams on 7 June 2021 from 4pm to 5:30pm.
