Children’s Rights and the Current Context: What are they? Why do they matter? How do we embed them?
Aims of session:
What?
To raise awareness and understanding of the United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)
Why?
To link rights-based practice to the Scottish legislation and policy context
To support individuals, establishments and organisations to begin to reflect on and self-evaluate their current practice in light of the UNCRC
How?
To enable the support of rights-based practice across schools and other organisations
To ensure we fully take the UNCRC into account in all our actions
This session is open to all practioners across Tayside who work with children and young people, and are looking to promote and embed Children’s Rights in their context. This session will take place on Tuesday 31st May at 4pm to 5:30pm on Microsoft Teams. Please complete the following form to register for the session – https://forms.office.com/r/nXcauFnYc6. Registration for the event closes on Friday 27th May at 5pm. Participants will be emailed the Teams meeting invite on Monday 30th May.
