(TRIC) Secondment Opportunity – Virtual Campus project officer
We are now seeking a secondary colleague to be seconded as a full-time Virtual Campus project officer to drive the work of the Learning and Attainment Group (our integrated children’s services plan Priority Group 2). This opportunity is open to all Tayside secondary teachers who have significant experience in delivering school improvement through digital learning.
The intention is to second a Virtual Campus Officer full-time who will be seconded from their existing role until March 2023. The successful individual will help expand our offer and support Tayside schools to deliver 7 Advanced Higher subjects on our virtual campus.

Job Outline:
As part of a small team you will be expected to:
- Meet operational and strategic RIC needs and functions.
- Co-ordinate the application process and link with school to ensure pupils are selecting courses that suit their level of study and needs.
- Plan and evaluate course structure including key materials/resources required in school and SQA assessment dates with lead teacher.
- Lead training for pupils and staff on virtual platform ‘Microsoft teams’. Ensure that pupils have digital skills to allow them to access courses and feedback.
- Co-ordinate support for pupils – highlight expectations of campus courses and how to raise any issues.
- Co-ordinate support for staff delivering and in school who are supporting pupils accessing the campus. Highlight expectations of campus courses and how to raise any issues.
- Co-ordinate with lead teacher to ensure delivery style and when tutorial lessons are delivered highlight pupil attendance to school.
- Plan tracking windows and collate all tracking information to share with school and pupils – September, November, End January or prelim window.
- Collate pupil feedback after each term to share and impact next terms delivery.
- Link between lead teacher, school staff and pupils with targets and meeting deadlines for SQA assessments.
- Review courses and manage future years course offerings, pupil application process, staffing and delivery.
