Headteachers from Angus, Dundee and Perth and Kinross are invited to attend this exciting and innovative event to hear and discuss the principles of ‘The Learning Imperative’ (by Mark Burns) and Professor Morag Treanor’s research on child poverty.

Following the welcome and introductions by Sheena Devlin, Executive Director of Education & Children’s Services in Perth and Kinross, Mark Burns will lead sessions on ‘How do we reduce the variance in effective teaching?’ and ‘How do we develop a professional learning culture in our teams?’.
Professor Morag Treanor will then discuss her research entitled ‘Child Poverty – aspiring to survive’ followed by collaborative group discussions and a Q&A session. The Plenary will be led by Kelly McIntosh, Director of Schools and Lifelong Learning in Angus.
